The famous Lady of Mycenaea or the Mykenaea is perhaps the clearest representation of a female figure in all Mycenaean art, embodying the aesthetic ideal of beauty in her time. There is another representation of female beauty from Mycenae that is perhaps even more famous. The striking female head made of lime plaster, dating to about 1250 BC and found in the Cult Centre of Mycenae, has come to represent Mycenaean Greece for us today almost as much as the Mask of Agamemnon or the Dendra Panoply. From my video on women's beauty in Bronze Age Europe
