These incredible golden cones are surely among the most spectacular and mysterious artefacts from bronze age Europe. Dating to between about 1600 BC and 800 BC they look so strange as to almost be absurd. They recall the pointed hats of stereotypical witches and wizards, only these ones, dating to over three thousand years ago, are made from shining gold. They would fit nicely on a person’s head and so are collectively known as golden hats. See the whole film here: https://youtu.be/3e0MRlNgLw4
